About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Manager to join our Retail Banking Services Finance team as a Strategic Finance Partner. This is a critical role that requires strong financial analysis and business acumen skills to support the delivery of key strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial support to the RBS CFO and management team, including analysis and insights to drive business decisions.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with Finance and Non-Finance stakeholders, including RBS Finance Teams, M&A, Treasury, Group Finance, Group Accounting Policy, RBS Strategy and RBS Risk Management.
- Prepare high-quality presentations and supporting analysis for senior management, including the RBS Group Executive, CFO, Retail Leadership Team and Group Finance.
- Support the delivery of responsibilities as part of the RBS Finance team, including the development and execution of strategic initiatives that deliver timely and cost-effective benefits for the Group and its customers.
- Contribute to the development of a customer-focused high-performing team culture, including ongoing knowledge transfer of the drivers of the retail banking portfolio.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by the RBS CFO, which can be competently and safely performed.
Requirements
- Postgraduate qualifications preferred (CA/CPA).
- Previous experience in a finance and accounting function.
- Advanced data gathering and reporting skills.
- Advanced financial reporting and analysis skills.
- Executive stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship building skills.
- Advanced experience as a passionate people leader in developing high-performing teams.
- Strong collaboration and active learning capabilities.
- Proven track record in the development and execution of strategic initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills, business acumen and knowledge of performance drivers across the RBS business.
- Previous experience in the research and preparation of executive papers, presentations and associated collateral for a broad audience.
- Risk Mindset – All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
