Job SummaryAs a Logistics Leader, you will oversee all activities and processes related to logistics, ensuring timely delivery of wind turbine components and optimal fulfillment solutions for GE and its customers.
- Develop strategies and capabilities to optimize project delivery portfolios in collaboration with various teams.
Lead the optimization of logistics planning and execution processes, focusing on safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage weekly deliveries of turbine components to project sites, coordinating with contractors and logistics service providers.
- Continuously improve quarterly business cases by analyzing changing dynamics and communicating delivery progress to leadership.
- Support commercial and proposal teams in negotiating transportation management plans, stakeholder management, and site inspections.
- Develop a portfolio of transportation and service providers for delivery execution.
- Source logistic service providers, including trucks and storage facilities, to achieve execution excellence.
- Apply lean methodologies and maintain key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
