Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care to clients.

  • Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Medication Assistance: Help clients manage their medication regimens, ensuring accurate dosage and administration.
  • Mealtime Support: Assist clients with meal preparation, feeding, and hygiene during meals.
  • Lifting and Equipment Assistance: Provide physical support for clients who require assistance with mobility and transferring.
  • Respite Services: Offer temporary relief to family caregivers, enabling them to take breaks and recharge.
  • Household Tasks and Meal Preparation: Assist clients with household chores, meal preparation, and cooking.
  • Transport to Appointments and Outings: Safely transport clients to medical appointments, social events, and other activities.
  • Social Support at Home and in the Community: Provide companionship, emotional support, and engage clients in various activities promoting socialization and well-being.

Ideal Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Certificate III or IV in Assistant Nursing, Disability, Individual Support, or a similar field: A relevant qualification is essential for delivering high-quality care.
  • Previous Experience in a Similar Role: Previous experience working in a similar role is desirable, demonstrating a proven track record of success.
  • Australian Unrestricted Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for transporting clients.
  • Insured and Registered Vehicle: A registered vehicle is necessary for safe transportation.
  • Police Clearance (or Willingness to Obtain One): Police clearance is required for working with vulnerable populations.
  • Working with Children Check (or Willingness to Obtain One): Working with children clearance is required for interactions with minors.
  • Current First Aid Certification: Current first aid certification is essential for responding to emergencies.
  • NDIS Worker Screening: NDIS worker screening is required for working with clients receiving NDIS funding.
  • Smartphone with Internet Access: A smartphone with internet access is necessary for communication and documentation.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
