Job Role: Caregiver and Advocate

We are seeking an emotionally intelligent professional to act as a liaison between families, schools, and healthcare providers.

The ideal candidate will ensure the wellbeing and welfare of children, addressing legal issues such as discipline and child abuse, providing support services including prenatal care, childcare, counseling, and parenting classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address legal concerns related to child safety and development
  • Arrange for necessary resources, including medical and psychological testing
  • Establish partnerships with local service providers and foster homes
  • Work in residential settings to promote healthy outcomes for adolescents and children
  • Facilitate communication among parents, teachers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to support vulnerable populations
  • Determine eligibility for adoption or foster care placement based on family dynamics and social factors
  • Provide guidance and support through individual and group counseling sessions

Requirements and Skills:

  • 3+ years' experience working in social services
  • Effective communication skills and emotional intelligence
  • Knowledge of social theories and best practices in child development
  • Social perceptiveness and ability to build trust with diverse populations
  • Capacity to analyze complex situations and provide solutions-oriented recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to absorb and apply procedural and legal information
