Ranger Coordinator

About the Role:

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as Ranger Coordinator in the beautiful West Arnhem Land.

We're dedicated to conserving the Warddeken Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) and fostering sustainable land management practices.

About the Position

The successful candidate will coordinate the activities of the Bininj (male) rangers, collaborating closely with various stakeholders.

  • You'll report directly to the Ranger Teams Manager, playing a pivotal role in delivering effective land management programs within the Warddeken IPA.
  • The Ranger Coordinator will work closely with senior staff members, including the CEO, Operations Manager, and other coordinators, to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and on-ground works.

This position involves supporting on-the-job training and leading by example in the delivery of fire, weed, and feral animal management projects.

Regular remote travel within the IPA via 4WD, light aircraft, and helicopter is required, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in outdoor environments.
