Wildlife Conservation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wildlife Animal Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our flight presentation department, you will play a vital role in the training and conditioning of animals for daily presentations.
The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in animal behavior, husbandry, and welfare principles, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. If you are passionate about wildlife conservation and have a desire to work with a variety of species, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the training and conditioning of animals for daily flight presentations.
- Provide daily care and enrichment for all animals within the Flight Deck section, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Deliver engaging free-flight presentations that promote environmental awareness, education, and visitor appreciation.
- Experience working with wildlife, preferably in a zoo or conservation setting.
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior, husbandry, and welfare principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in animal handling and training.
- Knowledge of aboriginal cultures and practices.
- Ability to lift 20kg and stand for long periods.
