Land Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Range Operator to join our team in delivering range services at the Defence Training facility and corresponding areas.
As a Range Operator, you will be responsible for providing support during live range activities and operations. This includes ensuring Red Flags / Red Lights are positioned in accordance with Range Standing Orders, preparing ranges, and assisting users and customers.
You will also be involved in Land Management activities such as grass cutting, tree removal, weed spraying, and GIS mapping. Additionally, you may undertake first response bush firefighting activities within the limitations of qualifications, available equipment, safety, and crew size.
The successful candidate will have experience in Range Training Areas and/or Land Management, and hold a current Driver's Licence. An HR Truck Licence is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Red Flags / Red Lights are positioned in accordance with Range Standing Orders
- Preparation of ranges along with providing assistance to range users and other customers
- Undertake Land Management activities including; grass cutting, tree removal, weed spraying and GIS mapping
- Undertake first response bush firefighting activities within the limitations of qualifications, available equipment, safety and crew size
- Undertake basic Estate Upkeep functions such as fence and gate repairs and other tasks
- Manufacture and repair targets as required
