Project Coordinator

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to join our team in the exploration and mining industry.

The successful candidate will contribute to assisting the industry obtain timely access to land through attendance at statutory meetings, consultation with stakeholders and assistance with agreement negotiations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating the grant of exploration and mining tenure while ensuring compliance with legislative and procedural requirements.
  • Monitoring stakeholder negotiations to ensure timely tenure grants, including attending meetings and case managing applications.
  • Providing information to stakeholders on relevant legislation and indigenous land matters.
  • Identifying obstacles to achieving objectives and timelines, contributing to solution development through feedback.
  • Developing effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drafting correspondence, reports, and documentation; undertaking projects; ensuring corporate compliance and reporting systems.
  • Actively participating as a full member of the Mineral Titles and Mines teams.

Selection criteria include:

  • Solid knowledge of land tenure issues across Northern Territory classifications.
  • Understanding of the mining industry, related land and tenure issues, and relevant legislation.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous people, land, and resource issues and ability to achieve resolution of title management issues.
  • Proven collaboration and advisory skills, providing quality documentation.
  • Effective negotiation skills and stakeholder relationship establishment.

Desirable experience includes:

  • Mining industry experience.
  • Travel and remote work experience.
