Job Title: Pastoral Care Coordinator

At Catholic Healthcare, we strive to promote the dignity, life and spirituality of older people through connected and inclusive communities.

  • Deliver pastoral care services for residents and clients, ensuring they have choice in maintaining their cultural and spiritual wellbeing.

Reporting directly to the Residential Manager, you will provide personal spiritual support and Pastoral care services to residents and clients in line with their preferences and our Mission.

About the Role:

  • Support mission formation activities for employees within the residential aged care home
  • Work in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you'll need:

  • Cert III or Cert IV in Pastoral Care or similar qualifications in theology or spirituality
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith, particularly as it relates to the dignity of life and aged care
  • Commitment to supporting the pastoral/spiritual care needs of the sick and elderly and their family members
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
