Medical Defence Specialist

Protecting medical professionals and advancing the art of medicine requires a unique blend of legal expertise and compassion. We are seeking an accomplished Lawyer to spearhead our team's efforts in defending medical practitioners against various challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver timely, high-quality legal advice and services related to medical defence matters.
  • Provide expert medico-legal guidance to members and claims managers, helping them navigate complex situations with confidence.
  • Represent medical practitioners before various tribunals and bodies, advocating for their rights and interests.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, coupled with substantial post-admission experience in private practice (ideally 2-4 years PQE).
  • Eligibility to hold an unsupervised practising certificate as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting all phases of litigation and/or professional conduct cases, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent computer literacy and competency to work in an electronic document management environment.
