Overview

Join Thales as a Field Service Technician and contribute to the Scylla Maintenance Team, working on the Collins Class Submarines. You will collaborate with Maintenance Managers and other technicians to ensure equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.

Your Role

Your Role: Field Service Technician

An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Field Service Technician to join the Scylla Maintenance Team, working on the Collins Class Submarines. In this role, you'll work closely with the Maintenance Managers alongside other technicians to ensure all equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a permanent opportunity based out of Rockingham, WA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on complex and diverse systems across electrical and IT based disciplines
  • Provide support to the Maritime and Ship Repair Services Domain to offer technical support to a range of weapon systems
  • Manage your time effectively to complete tasks in line with complex scheduled activities
  • Work remotely across locations from shipyards and RAN platforms, outside Thales' usual scope
  • Ensure all compliance is correct in-line with 3rd parties present at sites
  • Occasional interstate and international travel to support activities
Your Skills
  • Cert 4 in Electronics
  • An electrical trade with relevant experience
  • Australian citizenship
  • NV1 and ITAR clearance
  • Ability to work within tight, confined spaces within submarines
  • 4+ years' experience in fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of complex equipment and systems
  • A proven track record in quality assurance
