Records Management Officer

Hornsby Shire Council is seeking a diligent Records Management Officer to assume responsibility for the capture, classification, registration, and tracking of records and information within the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).

This permanent full-time role offers the opportunity to acquire new skills in records management, working in a collaborative environment with a high level of accuracy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Capture, classify, register, and track records and information within the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS)
  • Create service requests within the customer request management system
  • Scan files and maintain the hard copy file system
Key Requirements
  • Knowledge of recordkeeping principles
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good computer literacy
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in using TRIM Content Manager software or similar records management systems
About You

We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic individual who can undertake allocated tasks within agreed deadlines. An understanding of records management principles and relevant legislation is desirable for this role, assisting council staff to meet their legal obligations. A commitment to good quality customer service is required to ensure that council staff meet their service delivery targets.
