Establishing a safe food culture within our organization is paramount.

As a Food Safety & Compliance Coordinator, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive food safety induction training for all new employees, as well as facilitating annual refresher training sessions to ensure their skills are up-to-date.

This role requires an individual who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide guidance, support, and hands-on training to team members. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing effective food safety protocols and procedures
  • Conducting thorough investigations into customer complaints and supplier non-conformances
  • Providing expert advice on food safety matters to internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinating compliance audits and ad-hoc food safety tasks

To excel in this position, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related field
  • Proven experience in a food manufacturing environment, involving quality assurance (QA), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and food safety
  • Prior knowledge or experience in ISO 22000:2018 certification
