Environmental Safety Expert

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill a 2-year temporary full-time opportunity located in Lytton.
This role will provide support to the HSSEQ Manager with the implementation and development of the Lytton Refinery Future Fuels Project, ensuring compliance with Australia's fuel quality specifications.
Main Responsibilities:- Contribute to the achievement of HSSEQ & BBS Key Performance Indicators
- PARTICIPATE IN TOOLBOX TALKS, TEAM SAFETY DISCUSSIONS, HAZARD IDENTIFICATION, RISK ASSESSMENTS AND MITIGATION STRATEGIES
- CONDUCT FIELD ENGAGEMENT, RESOLVE ISSUES AND PROVIDE SOLUTIONS
- DELIVER PROFESSIONAL COACHING AND TRAINING IN HSSEQ PRACTICES
- CARRY OUT WIDE-RANGING PROJECT ACTIVITIES RISK ASSESSMENTS
- PARTICIPATE IN INCIDENT INVESTIGATIONS
- SUPPORT INDIVIDUAL COMPETENCY ASSESSMENTS AND VERIFICATION OF COMPETENCY
- REVIEW AND SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF HSSEQ PROCEDURES, RISK ASSESSMENTS AND SAFE WORK METHODS STATEMENTS
As a safety expert, you will be responsible for investigating incidents and communicating corrective actions to your teams. You must possess expertise in health, safety, security, environment, and quality management principles and practices.
