Key Account Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Key Account Manager to join our team. As a Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the growth of our business by developing and growing partnerships with prominent retailers in the food and beverage industry.

Your Mission:
  • You will work closely with our partners to increase store coverage and overall supply, ensuring that their head office and stores are fully supported to save food from waste and celebrate their successes.

This is a brand new role, so you will be playing a significant role in our growth and evolution in providing better support and service to our partners.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Develop strategies to grow your accounts and work with the retailer to increase store coverage and overall supply.
  2. Manage your own portfolio of chains and ensure the relationship is strong and business KPIs are met.
  3. Build close and sustainable relationships with our partners, ensuring that they have the best experience.
  4. Be the first point of contact for our partners for all matters and coordinate internally with colleagues from other departments.
  5. Search for new opportunities and understand businesses in depth to drive success.
  6. Present our concept at trade or franchisee fairs, events, and meetings.
  7. Support our acquisition team in the roll-out of new key accounts.
  8. Analyze and develop strategies for the further development of partnerships.
  9. Create and analyze relevant reports for internal and external purposes.
  10. Develop and implement growth strategies tailored to the needs of our partners.
What You Bring:
  • Strong account management experience demonstrating ability to build rapport, establish trust, and deepen relationships.
  • A proven track record of delivering business growth with existing accounts.
  • Solid commercial experience in the food business sector.
  • Excellent commercial acumen.
  • Master communicator with strong listening and engagement skills.
  • Data analysis and MS Excel skills for performance reports and projections.
  • Ability to create and deliver impactful presentations using data-driven insights.
  • A passion for the mission and raising awareness of food waste & sustainability.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • A negotiator, able to influence decisions and solution-oriented.
  • A team player who enjoys working in a cross-functional team.
