Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Coordinator to support our teams in ensuring workplace compliance across projects Australia-wide.

  • Assist our teams in managing project/site requirements, providing guidance and support with documentation such as Construction Safety Plans, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Project Risk Registers, and advice on compliance, training needs, emergency and incident response.
  • Conduct project/site audits, safety inspections, and risk assessments, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Assist in managing site permits, contractor onboarding, and review SWMS and other submissions using 1Breadcrumb and Procore.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Proactively communicate with stakeholders on safety matters.
  • Maintain HSE records and documentation, ensuring alignment with client safety management plans.
  • Deliver training and upskilling to our team on HSE matters.
  • Continue the improvement, development, and embedding of health and safety policy, standards, systems, and business initiatives across all divisions and sites.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in an HSE role within industrial construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence in engaging with various stakeholders.
  • Experience and confidence using HSE management platforms such as Procore and 1Breadcrumb.
  • Strong grasp of construction methodologies specifically relating to industrial and commercial construction.
