Regional HSE Specialist Role

We seek a seasoned professional to fill this Regional HSE Specialist position. This key member will oversee the safe and compliant operation of multiple sites, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support, coaching, and leadership to operational teams to ensure seamless implementation of HSE standards and procedures across the region.
  • Incident investigations and root cause analysis will be led by the successful candidate, providing strategic HSE support to regional leaders and operational sites.
  • Frontline leaders and personnel will be coached to embed a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, data analysis, training, and audits.
  • HSE training, assessments, and regulatory submissions will be managed by this role, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Environmental reporting, emergency preparedness planning, and collaboration with regulatory bodies are also key aspects of this position.
  • This role requires strong working knowledge of relevant Health, Safety, Environment, Explosive, and Dangerous Goods Regulations, as well as experience in mid-level or senior HSE roles.
  • Demonstrated success in influencing HSE culture and improving performance across multiple sites is essential for this role.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills are required, along with certification in HSE and relevant Security Clearance.

What You Bring

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety (preferred).
  • Experience in a mid-level or senior HSE role, ideally within explosives and dangerous goods (preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant Health, Safety, Environment, Explosive and Dangerous Goods Regulations.
  • Strong working knowledge with the implementation and management of ISO 9001, ISO45001 and ISO14001 (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success influencing HSE culture and improving performance across multiple sites.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Certification in HSE (e.g. ISO Lead Auditor, Training and Assessment) (preferred).
  • Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator Accreditation.
  • Relevant Security Clearance.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently.
