Heavy Diesel Fitter Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and attending breakdowns of mobile equipment.

The ideal candidate will have Australian Recognised Heavy Mechanical Qualifications, technical/mechanical sound skills with Liebherr, CAT, Cummins, and/or Epiroc, and demonstrated diagnostics and breakdown experience with ideally both trucks & ancillary equipment. Dogging, Rigging, and Forklift Licenses are desirable.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and attend breakdowns of mobile equipment.
  • Identify and rectify faults during inspections and follow specific maintenance programs.
  • Initiate updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment.
  • Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in implementing new initiatives.
  • Demonstrate a focus on safety, achievement, and team engagement in all aspects of work.
  • About You:
  • Australian Recognised Heavy Mechanical Qualifications.
  • Technical/mechanical sound skills with Liebherr, CAT, Cummins, and/or Epiroc.
  • Demonstrated diagnostics and breakdown experience with ideally both trucks & ancillary equipment.
  • Dogging, Rigging, and Forklift Licenses are desirable.
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail and procedure.
  • Computer literacy and/or experience in 1SAP.
  • Safety first mentality.
