
Electrical Maintenance Technician

This role is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a team in the maintenance of mobile equipment and plant at our Western Australia Iron Ore sites. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting complex diagnostics and maintenance activities/repairs on mobile plant & equipment, working efficiently and effectively on plant and equipment such as autonomous Trucks and other essential critical Mobile Fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex diagnostics and maintenance activities/repairs on mobile plant & equipment
- Work efficiently and effectively on plant and equipment such as autonomous Trucks and other essential critical Mobile Fleet
- Follow specific maintenance programs and procedures and carrying out checks on equipment as required
- Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports and drawings as required
- Be comfortable in the use of computerised maintenance systems (SAP), including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders
- Take personal responsibility for helping the team achieve expected results by doing what is required and taking timely actions within the scope of ability without being supervised
- Undertake training on a regular basis and provide support and coaching to work mates within area of responsibility
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with rescheduling of work, organising and coordinating resources, scoping of work and prioritising when required
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of the new initiatives in a constructive way
Requirements:
- Australian recognised Automotive Electrician Trade Qualification (Heavy Industry)
- Current Automotive Refrigerant Handling licence
- Forklift and High Risk Working licence
- Strong auto electrical maintenance experience with sound diagnostic abilities
- Experience working on CAT Haul Trucks 793F Haul Trucks
- Exposure to CAT Minestar Autonomous system
- Experience with Cummins, Liebherr & Caterpillar Equipment
- Experience within Mining industry preferred, however agricultural or heavy industry will be considered
- Ability to work off schematic drawings
- Strong presentation, communication and coaching skills and the ability to work closely in a team environment
