We empower individuals with spinal cord injuries and physical disabilities to lead accessible lives.
This role is part of our multidisciplinary Allied Health Services team, delivering exceptional care and support to clients in Cairns.
We offer a range of Allied Health services, including rehabilitation gym and indoor hydrotherapy pool access.
Fostering independence and enhancing quality of life for Far North Queenslanders is our goal.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct client assessments to address physical needs.
- Trial equipment to optimize client functionality.
- Manage funding applications for assistive technology and supports.
- Advocate for clients' personal support needs.
- Provide expert advice on equipment and lifestyle management.
- Complete assessments for home modifications and submit reports.
- Empower individuals through tailored strategies and advocate for their lifestyle choices.
- Deliver hands-on upper limb therapy in individual and group settings.
- AHPRA registration and a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.
- Ability to manage caseloads independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven track record of achieving high-level outcomes for clients.
- Experience working with individuals with Spinal Cord Injury or physical disabilities preferred.
- Familiarity with fee-for-service environments advantageous.
