Job Overview

The primary function of this role is to oversee the operational efficiency and safety of high-pressure boiler turbine units and associated auxiliary equipment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To work collaboratively as a member of the Power Production Operations Team.
  • Participate in competency-based training, regulatory training, and on-the-job training or training programs that support skill development.
  • Maintain compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
  • Contribute to solid environmental performance of the plant and participate in ISO 14001 processes and initiatives.
  • Act as a member of the Emergency Response team.
  • Travel throughout the province when required.
Key Requirements:
  • Holding a 2nd Class Power Engineer Certificate is mandatory.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Power Engineer in a generating station or industry with similar processes is required.
  • Demonstrated acceptable color vision for operation of control monitoring equipment is essential.
  • Proven problem resolution skills and flexibility to adapt to rescheduled assignments are necessary.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, computer aptitude, and ability to deal with multiple tasks and demands is required.
