Power Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the Power Production Operations Team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of high-pressure boiler turbine units and associated equipment.

Job Description:

The Power Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of power generation, including maintenance, repair, and optimization of plant equipment. This includes:

  • Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of high-pressure boiler turbine units and associated equipment
  • Maintaining and repairing plant equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Optimizing plant operations to maximize efficiency and reduce costs

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Power Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A 2nd Class Power Engineer Certificate or equivalent
  • A minimum of three years' experience as a Power Engineer in a generating station or industry with similar processes
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Work Environment:

This position requires working on-site at our Tuft's Cove Generating Station, located in Tuft's Cove, Nova Scotia. You will be required to participate in on-the-job training and competency-based programs to maintain your certification and stay up-to-date with industry standards.
