Job title: land survey technician

Location: Dartmouth, NS

Salary: $21.00 to $27.00 per hour, 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Hours: Day shift, 08:00 to 17:00

Starts as soon as possible

On-site work at the physical location (no remote option).

Responsibilities
  • Operate survey instruments and devices
  • Participate in field surveys
  • Keep survey information in systematic order
  • Record measurements and other information obtained during field survey activities
  • Operate chainsaws to clear trails through woodlands
Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
  • Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Survey Technologist Trade Certificate; Chainsaw Safety Training
  • Survey specialization: Topographic, Legal, Land, Engineering, Geodetic, Hydrographic, Land development, Urban
Work site and conditions
  • Work site environment: Outdoors
  • Work setting: Various locations
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking; walking; bending, crouching, kneeling
