Senior Electrical Project Manager

McConnell Dowell Constructors is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer – Electrical to join our project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing on-site electrical engineering functions, monitoring quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, and coordinating the activities of an engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Engineering Management: Manage on-site electrical engineering functions through subordinates, including Project Engineers, Electrical Supervision, Sub-contractors, and/or Cost/Planning support.
- Quality Control: Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, check work drawings, construction, and specifications against site plans and conditions, and arrange corrections or modifications where necessary.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate the activities of an engineering team, program workloads, and provide technical and administrative guidance to the engineering staff to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achieved.
- Project Delivery: Ensure that project engineering completion is on time and within budget. Record completed work, costs incurred, materials used, and retain progress drawings.
- Work Assignment and Review: Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards of supplier/subcontractor quotations/purchase orders as well as subcontractor arrangements.
About You:
- Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a construction environment.
- Electrical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and industry standards.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using electrical design software and tools.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
