Electrical Infrastructure Project Specialist

The role supports the management and successful delivery of electrical infrastructure projects. It involves designing and specifying electrical infrastructure systems, providing engineering support to project managers, and conducting commissioning and acceptance activities.
Main Responsibilities:- Design and specify electrical infrastructure systems in support of broadcast operations.
- Provide engineering support to project and program managers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct commissioning and acceptance activities in accordance with standards and test procedures.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic maintenance and asset evaluation programs for main and standby power systems assets.
- Review electrical system designs for compliance and suitability for purpose.
- Facilitate supply authority liaison to deliver network growth projects.
- Investigate and prioritise network issues submitted by field teams and other stakeholders.
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical assistance across the organisation.
- Inspect BAI Communications facilities and other field operations as required.
To be successful in this role, you will require a degree in Electrical Engineering, sufficient for Graduate level entry to the Institution of Engineers Australia. Additional certifications in fire detection systems, emergency power systems, or renewable energy technologies would be highly regarded.
