Electrical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, specification, and installation of electrical infrastructure systems.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including the renewal and upgrade of critical electrical assets, such as switchboards, distribution systems, and standby generators. The role also involves contributing to the planning and implementation of renewable energy systems to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of our network.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering and relevant experience in multiple aspects of commercial electrical work. They will also have working knowledge with AutoCAD and PowerCAD, as well as proficiency in the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of fire detection systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specify electrical infrastructure systems
  • Provide engineering support to project and program managers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct commissioning and acceptance activities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic maintenance and asset evaluation programs
  • Review electrical system designs for compliance and suitability for purpose
  • Undertake supply authority liaison
  • Investigate and prioritise network issues
  • Provide subject matter expertise and technical assistance
  • Undertake inspection of facilities and other field operations
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Relevant experience in multiple aspects of commercial electrical work
  • Working knowledge with AutoCAD and PowerCAD
  • Proficiency in the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of fire detection systems
  • A valid Australian full driver's licence
