Train Carriage Maintenance Professional

This exciting role involves working on a wide range of tasks related to carriage maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and repairing interior components, performing preventative maintenance activities, and carrying out troubleshooting and repair tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect and repair carriage interior components such as furniture, wall coverings, flooring, windows, interior & exterior doors, cabinets, bunk beds, and upholstery.
- Perform routine inspections, support fault reporting processes, and carry out troubleshooting and repair tasks.
- Service hinges, locks, and other internal fittings to maintain carriage serviceability standards.
- Maintain carriage bodies, including side service flaps, and access hatches.
- Assist in sealing and weatherproofing carriage exterior.
- Support continuous improvement and refurbishment projects to enhance guest comfort and operational efficiency.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery safely and effectively.
- Maintain tools and equipment in line with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Ensure adequate stock for all car builder-related spares is available for quick replacement during breakdowns.
