Research Group Overview

The group of Professor Andrea Morello has established all the key results – high-fidelity quantum gates, exceptional coherence times, compatibility with large-scale manufacturing – that make semiconductor quantum computing possible.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantum Computing Researcher to join our team. This role will involve conducting research of experimental nature, focusing on the demonstration of quantum information processing with high-spin nuclei in silicon.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting independent research with limited supervision
  • Developing methods for the analysis and design of quantum computing hardware
  • Performing quantum measurements using high-frequency and/or low-noise methods
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is AUD $110,059 to $117,718 per annum + 17% superannuation for a Research Associate, or AUD $123,620 to $145,730 per annum + 17% superannuation for a Senior Research Associate.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A PhD in quantum physics, quantum engineering, or a related area
  • Demonstrated track record of performing quantum measurements using high-frequency and/or low-noise methods
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research with limited supervision
