This program is designed to help you grow and develop your career in the livestock industry.

  • You will gain valuable experience in all aspects of the livestock activity.
  • You will be based at our Dubbo branch and work alongside experienced livestock employees and leaders.
  • During the program, you will have the opportunity to work in both saleyard and branch environments, being mentored and guided by our team.
  • You will also receive on-the-ground training, four leadership and skill-building workshops, and ongoing support from mentors assigned to you.

What to Expect

  • A 24-month program that accelerates your learning and kick-starts your career within livestock.
  • Professional networking opportunities to socialize with peers and leaders across the business.
  • Placement mobility after the program concludes. You may be required to or have the opportunity to move locations to ensure you get the most out of your experience.
  • Broadened skills, including compliance, sales, client relationship building, communication, marketing and social media, finance, problem-solving, negotiation, leading and managing a team, next-generation stock and station agency skills, livestock productivity, animal health and nutrition, Auctions Plus, auctioneering, wool technical and market requirements, and emerging technology.

Requirements

">
  • A strong desire to learn and succeed in the livestock industry.
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong negotiation abilities.
  • Successful completion of Year 12.
  • Worked successfully for a minimum of 24 months within the agricultural industry, ideally within livestock.
  • Be willing to relocate at the conclusion or throughout the program.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident.
  • Be vaccinated or willing to receive the Q Fever vaccination.
  • The ability to work in a team environment.
  • Genuine interest and desire to work and learn about the livestock industry.
