Key Roles and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead and influence third-party logistics partners to drive operational efficiencies, analyse and optimise transport network performance for cost and operational benefits, and partner with stakeholders to plan and forecast resources and labour requirements.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading and influencing best-in-market third-party logistics partners to collaborate on driving operational efficiencies
  • Analysing and optimising transport network performance across multiple sites for cost and operational efficiencies
  • Partnering with stakeholders to plan and forecast resources, wages, and labour requirements with accuracy and efficiency
  • Reporting and presenting performance metrics with recommendations to key stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and collaboration skills, a proven track record of driving results and improving processes, and expertise in budgeting, resource planning, and commercial decision-making. The following qualifications are essential:

  • Proven experience in leading high-volume supply chain or transport operations, ideally in retail or FMCG
  • Strong stakeholder management and contract negotiation skills, with ability to build rapport
  • Proven analytical skills with expertise in budgeting, resource planning, and commercial decision-making to align with key milestones
  • A track record of driving results, improving processes, and leading & motivating teams
