Job Overview

The role of Logistics Coordinator I involves providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, taking orders, offering pricing information, and resolving customer issues.

This position anticipates customer needs, suggests alternatives, and solves problems by monitoring shipments, identifying opportunities, and facilitating communication with contractors and agents.

  • Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service to all internal and external customers.
  • Monitor shipments from order entry through delivery to ensure timely performance.
  • Identify customer needs and facilitate communication with owner operators or outside agents to provide the most cost-effective means of shipment execution.
Responsibilities
  • Support new and existing customer accounts to foster business growth.
  • Assist contractors in obtaining critical shipment information via phone and email communication.
  • Update customers regarding shipments as required via phone, email, and web-based channels.
  • Understand unique freight handling characteristics and delivery requirements to allow contractors to operate in a safety-oriented environment.
  • Identify and communicate business opportunities into the sales organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1 year industry experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
