Operate Counterbalance Forklift

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Casual HR Driver/Forklift Operator to join our team at our Geelong Branch.

This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced freight environment, take pride in safety and precision, and enjoy hands-on roles.

Duties:

  • Safe operation of counterbalance forklifts to unload inbound freight from trucks.
  • Effective loading, unloading, movement, restraint, and storage of freight as required.
  • Ensure correct freight matches paperwork before delivery.
  • Plan and monitor freight movements for effective utilization to meet operations schedules.
  • Check load restraints, packaging, and freight conditions before travel.
  • Report damages to supervisors immediately.
  • Accurately complete pallet and Dangerous Goods paperwork.
  • Evaluate compatibility issues during loading and unloading.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum 1-year experience as a Forklift Driver.
  • A current MR or HR License.
  • An excellent driver history report.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • Adherence to WHS and Safety Regulations.
  • Excellent attitude, work ethic, and reliability.
  • A high level of physical fitness for repetitive lifting.
