ICT Support Technician Role

We are seeking an ICT Support Technician to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for computer infrastructure and software problems.

You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing timely resolution of user problems, and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. You will also develop and conduct user training sessions and create clear technical documentation.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Responding to inquiries and providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for computer software and hardware problems.
  2. Providing support to clients for PLM solutions, ensuring timely resolution of user issues and minimal disruption to business operations.
  3. Determining software and hardware requirements to provide effective solutions to client issues.
  4. Diagnosing, identifying, and resolving system problems and user-reported issues related to software functionality, data access, and workflows to ensure minimal downtime.
  5. Installing, downloading, and configuring PLM system infrastructure, including applications like Teamcenter and its integrations, ensuring efficient use of applications and equipment.
  6. Liaising with users and senior engineers to resolve complex technical issues, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering or Information Technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in PLM software support, minimum of X years (please specify the exact number if available).

Key Skills:

  • Proven expertise in PLM implementation and support, specifically with Siemens Teamcenter (including Rich Client, Active Workspace, & BMIDE).
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software, particularly the Solid Edge Portfolio including NX Portfolio for Design (Modeling, Mold Wizard, etc.), and Rhino.
  • In-depth knowledge of PLM modules including Requirement Management, Change Management, BOM Management, and MCAD Integration, as well as programming and technical skills including TCL, VB.NET, HTML.
