Telecommunications Technical Officer

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our clients, ensuring the smooth operation of telecommunications networks.

  • Provide design and operational support to ensure contractual requirements are met.
  • Liaise with clients to develop network configuration documents.
  • Offer technical advice and support to customers.
  • Install internal telecommunication devices and configure NBN fibre network equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose network faults in the NBN fibre and copper networks.
  • Repair and resolve NBN defects and faults.
  • Install/haul external telecommunication cables and maintain NBN network infrastructure.
  • Rod & Roping (Pipe proofing).
  • Build joint closures and slice test copper cables and fibre cables.
  • Perform optical power meter, OTDR, and Insertion Loss Testing of optical fibres.
  • Use OTDR for troubleshooting.
  • Set up worksites and traffic management, ensuring safety.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Australian work rights (valid passport and/or valid visa required; visa sponsorship available).
