Job Summary

We're seeking an Environmental Sustainability Specialist to provide critical input on our environmental management issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure operational compliance with all environmental regulations
  • Provide timely, commercially astute advice on environmental matters
  • Maintain our environmental management system to ISO 14001 standard
  • Offer environmental support and guidance on various capital projects
  • Foster effective relationships with key stakeholders, government agencies and external partners

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A tertiary qualification in engineering, science or a relevant field
  • Experience in contaminated land and asbestos management
  • Background in policy development, procedure implementation and management systems
  • Prior involvement in managing project consultants and dealing with regulatory bodies
  • Excellent customer focus and ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of port operations and development is advantageous
