Key Sustainability Role

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled professional to fill the position of Sustainability Lead. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in environmental engineering, science, or a related field, with a focus on sustainability management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for achieving sustainability objectives, ensuring compliance with relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including project team members, design consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage and allocate resources to ensure successful delivery of sustainability initiatives, leveraging best practices and innovative approaches.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments, ensuring that sustainability goals are aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead and support the development of a culture that promotes environmental responsibility and sustainability innovation within the organization.
  • Contribute to the creation of value-added products and services that showcase the organization's commitment to sustainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed sustainability into project delivery, ensuring seamless integration with business operations.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
  • Registration as an ISAP/GSAP practitioner.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in sustainability management, preferably in large infrastructure projects, particularly roads, rail, or tunnels.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability rating schemes and standards, including quantitative and qualitative risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders and build effective relationships.
