Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil, geotechnical, water resources, environmental engineering, and/or earthwork construction principles.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating technical activities on assigned projects, including planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating engineering work, as well as monitoring compliance to codes, good practices, and company standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain quality control of earthworks and infrastructure while on site.
  • Participate in teams to provide technical skills and support to projects.
  • Record observations, analysis results, assumptions, and conclusions into written reports.
  • Review Contractors' proposed methodologies, plans, ITPs for suitability to achieve technical requirements.
  • Review Contractor fleet to ensure sufficiency to meet detailed schedules and capable of completing works.
  • Ensure Contractors work efficiently to avoid time or cost overruns.
  • Ensure Contractors meet site safety and environmental standards at all times.
  • Ensure Contractors meet specification and quality control requirements of the project. Optimize performance from a schedule and cost perspective.
  • Review Contractors progress – highlighting areas where progress is behind schedule.
  • Progress reporting – highlighting areas where progress is behind schedule and providing support in developing remedial action.
  • Participate in site meetings/discussions.
  • Prepare Daily and Weekly Site Reports covering safety, environment, quality, and schedule.
  • Prepare a final Construction Report on completion of each project.
