Upholstery Professional - Create and Repair Furniture

To excel as an Upholstery Professional, you will be responsible for crafting and restoring furniture pieces to the highest standards. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and has a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attach trims, fasteners, feet, wheels and buttons to ensure a high-quality finish
  • Complete wooden surfaces on furniture, including sanding and applying finishes
  • Collaborate with management and clients to determine materials and costs of furniture items to be made or repaired
  • Make and repair frames, remove and replace defective springs as needed
  • Measure and cut materials, upholster furniture to meet client specifications
  • PADding and covering spring units to upholster chairs and sofas
  • Remove coverings, webbing and padding from damaged furniture
  • SEAM cushions and join sections of covering material
  • Secure material, padding, springs and webbing to articles to be upholstered

To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant qualification and 2 years of post-qualification employment experience or at least three years of relevant upholsterer employment experience.
