The Role

As Lifestyle Coordinator, you will work closely with our team to develop and implement leisure programs that support the wellbeing of our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating resident-driven leisure programs that promote psychological, social, emotional, physical, spiritual and cultural wellbeing
  • Providing opportunities for residents to participate in activities that enhance their self-esteem and personal fulfillment
  • Leading and supporting Leisure and Lifestyle staff to deliver high-quality person-centered care
  • Maintaining and evaluating programs to ensure they meet resident needs, including suggestions for improvements
  • Supporting the Leisure and Lifestyle Department to meet accreditation requirements

This is a part-time role, working 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday) with flexible scheduling on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays. We're seeking candidates with:

  • Diploma or Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle qualifications (or working towards this)
  • Passion for delivering high-quality care that makes a difference for our residents
  • Experience in leisure and lifestyle service provision
  • Relevant experience in aged care (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to undertake leisure-based assessments and care planning with individual residents
  • Ability to work independently with good time management skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant laws, acts, regulations, charters and codes of practice
  • Able to provide evidence of Covid-19 and Influenza vaccinations
