Social Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an experienced leader to drive the strategic direction for our social and cultural infrastructure. The ideal candidate will lead the development and delivery of plans that prioritize community needs.
About the Role- Develop a Proactive Vision: Create a forward-thinking approach to cultural and social infrastructure development, fostering growth and engagement within our community.
- Lead Plan Delivery: Oversee the development and implementation of council plans related to social and cultural initiatives, ensuring alignment with community goals.
- Foster High-Performing Teams: Establish a collaborative environment, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to drive team success.
- Relevant Qualifications and Experience: Possess tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in community development, cultural and social planning, town planning, social sciences, economics, commerce, or business management.
- Visionary Leadership: Demonstrate ability to develop and implement a proactive vision for cultural and social infrastructure development, driving positive outcomes for our community.
- Relationship-Building Skills: Showcase strong relationship-building, influencing, consultation, communication, and negotiation skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
- Understanding of Community Needs: Display knowledge of the interface between public wellbeing, urban design, and community planning, ensuring effective delivery of social, economic, and environmental outcomes.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Highlight experience in policy and strategy development, with the ability to deliver research, analysis, and conceptual thinking.
- Diverse Community: Serve a culturally diverse community of 130,000 people, with a growing Smart City economy featuring over 13,000 local businesses.
