Learning Support Assistant

The Integration Aide role involves supporting students in a specific learning environment. The successful applicant will provide assistance with communication between students and teachers, focusing on the interpretation of instructions.
The key responsibilities include:
- Providing physical and emotional care for students, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
- Participating in team meetings to discuss student progress and program development.
- Assisting with toileting, meals, lifting, and administration of medication as required.
- Supervising students during camps, excursions, sporting activities, therapy sessions, and life skills training.
- Producing basic curriculum resources and observing students to draw attention to them when necessary.
The role requires maintaining work areas and materials in a clean and ready-to-use condition. Additionally, the successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of equipment and purchasing of materials and supplies as needed. Professional Development opportunities will be available to ensure the needs of students with particular disabilities and impairments are met.
This role adheres to the Department of Education and Training and Schools Child Safe Standards.
