Learning Support Officer Role Description

The role of a Learning Support Officer is to provide assistance to students in achieving their learning goals. This involves working collaboratively with teachers, students and other support staff to identify individual needs and develop strategies to address these needs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic support to students in various subjects, including literacy and numeracy.
  • Assist teachers in planning and implementing lessons that cater for diverse student needs.
  • Develop and implement programs to improve student outcomes in specific areas such as reading and writing.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and students.
