About the Program:

AIR6500 is a joint air battle management system program.

It will create a fully networked 'system of systems' that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Designing, building, and integrating advanced technologies to form the backbone of Australia's multi-domain defence capability.
  • Working with engineers across the program to design, test, and integrate complex solutions.
  • Analysing and resolving system-level defects to keep integration environments mission-ready.
  • Contributing to the automation of testing and continuous integration pipelines.

About You:

We're seeking an engineer with strong Defence Test & Evaluation knowledge and hands-on integration experience across ICT, software, and hardware.

You'll bring Linux administration and scripting skills, CI/CD pipeline experience, and a problem-solving mindset to tackle complex system challenges.

Requirements:

Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
