AIR6500 is one of the most significant defence programs in Australia, delivering a cutting-edge Joint Air Battle Management System (JABMS). This system will interconnect platforms, sensors, and effectors across land, air, sea, space, and cyber environments – creating a truly integrated battlespace.

About the Role

  • Collaborate with engineers across the AIR6500 program to design, develop, test, and integrate complex solutions.
  • Contribute to the automation of testing and continuous integration pipelines using advanced tools and technologies.
  • Analyse and resolve system-level defects to maintain integration environments in a mission-ready state.
  • Work hands-on with innovative technologies: CI/CD, virtualisation, containerisation, infrastructure-as-code, and automation tools.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field is required for this position.
  • Strong defence test and evaluation knowledge and hands-on integration experience across ICT, software, and hardware are essential.
  • Proficiency in Linux administration, scripting, and CI/CD pipeline management is necessary.
  • A problem-solving mindset and ability to tackle complex system challenges are vital.
