HR Operations Manager

This role is part of the People Team and plays a meaningful role in the strategic delivery of our people agenda. This position supports operational execution across HR and Safety teams, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to embed Vista's people strategy within a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Human Resources roles, preferably in business partner positions, particularly in matrixed or global organizations. Strong operational HR experience across employee relations, compliance, performance, and lifecycle delivery is required.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head of People & Culture – AUSNZS, including participation in forums, approvals, and regional representation as needed.
- Drive compliance and governance activities such as local policy reviews, contract changes, and regulatory obligations.
- Coordinate employee lifecycle initiatives including onboarding, offboarding, and case management with the support of HR Advisors.
- Provide subject matter expertise on employment law, risk mitigation, and workplace culture.
- Strong understanding of Australian employment law and industrial instruments, with exposure to enterprise agreements highly regarded.
- Excellent relationship building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence using data and systems to guide decisions and track performance.
- Prior experience in a 2IC or deputy HR role.
- Understanding of safety frameworks and employee wellbeing models.
