Job Description

This role involves delivering 25% casual loading pay rate as part of the remuneration package.

A high-performing Program Development Manager with program management experience, based in Canberra and holding a NV 2 clearance, will support enhanced engagement with Pacific island countries through development programs and activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing effective contract management processes, monitoring milestones, and tracking budgets.

Risks to program implementation will be assessed and managed.

Monitoring and evaluation will ensure contractual requirements are met.

Internal and inter-agency advisory meetings and consultations will be coordinated.

Reporting and briefing will be provided while promoting a positive team culture where staff work collegiately towards a shared sense of purpose and build capability by coaching others and providing feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the delivery of aid programs aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Managing procurement, contract, and risk processes.
  • Developing and managing complex relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area goals.
  • Prioritizing tasks under broad direction using strong written and verbal communication skills.
