About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our team at Aruma. As a Youth Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting young people to thrive and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging programs that foster personal growth and development in young people.
  • Provide emotional support and a listening ear to help young people navigate challenges and build resilience.
  • Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes social connections and community engagement.
  • Utilise your personal experience and skills to inspire and connect with young individuals, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Support and encourage children and young people with complex needs, including those with dual diagnosis and trauma-based behaviour, to feel safe and secure.

About You
  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent (click here to view more details) or willingness to enrol.
  • Willingness to study Top Up Units Residential Care (4 Modules) through our RTO.
  • Hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements (as per role and/or State).
  • Passionate about human rights and creating positive change.
  • Empathetic and compassionate, with a keen understanding of diverse experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills to be the voice that resonates with others.
  • Enthusiastic team player, eager to collaborate and inspire.
  • Availability for 24/7 rotating roster including weekends & sleepover shifts.
