About the Role

uWorkin is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Child Safety Team Leader to join our team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of child safety professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people in our care.

Our youth residential program provides care and intensive support to children and young people who have a variety of needs. Team Leaders play a vital role in leading a team that supports children and young people to live their best life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of child safety professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people in our care.
  • Provide guidance and support to a team of youth workers.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant Child Safety legislation and regulation, as well as organisational policy and procedures.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, families, and young people.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Senior Youth Workers and Youth Workers in meeting a child or young person's individual needs.
Requirements
  • Minimum or equivalent of a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention for Residential Care (or a willingness to obtain prior to uWorkin certification).
  • Have a positive attitude.
  • Possess clear and effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy and accuracy in record management.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Exhibit an ability to problem solve.
  • Be able to follow policies and procedures at all times.
  • Be able to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals.
  • Flexible to work across a 24/7 roster.
