Key Account Manager for Rare Diseases

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to lead the launch of a unique portfolio in rare diseases, combining strategic and tactical experience.

A global pharmaceutical organisation has established its Australian business, boasting a scientific and rewarding portfolio with an impressive pipeline of life-changing products.

The Key Account Manager role focuses on engaging with customers across whole hospital accounts, including specialist, KOLs, pharmacist stakeholders, and broader referrer pathways to ensure patients access these life-changing medicines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Calling on specialised Key Hospital Accounts across Australia
  • Developing and executing strategic business plans
  • Using creativity and initiative to grow patient pathways
  • Business development and launch of new products
  • Working with global internal stakeholders to implement locally

A proven track record of end-to-end responsibility in pharmaceuticals is essential, along with agility and creativity to lead patient-centric pathways. Experience in working in a competitive sales environment is also required, as well as strong strategic and business development skills, excellent customer engagement and relationship building skills, sound technical aptitude, and communication skills, and flexibility and adaptability.
