About the Role

Bloom HR Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Research Officer to join our team. As a Research Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of our workforce plan, workforce development initiatives, and annual training development plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct research and analysis to inform the development of our workforce plan, workforce development initiatives, and annual training development plan.
  • Prepare research reports, summaries, and presentations for internal and external audiences that show attention to detail and the ability to write in plain English.
  • Communicate research findings effectively to support decision-making.
  • Conduct literature reviews to stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Incorporate relevant research findings into project planning and development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to gather insights and share research outcomes.
  • Foster relationships with industry experts, educators, and policymakers.
Requirements
  • Master degree in a relevant field with a research focus or equivalent experience is desirable.
  • Proven experience in VET, public policy, and/or research roles.
  • Proficiency in research methodologies and statistical analysis tools.
  • High level problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to produce accurate, easy to read, and insightful reports and advice.
  • Proven record of working effectively, both independently and as a collaborative team member.
  • Experience in education, adult education, and student experience would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Demonstrated understanding and/or experience in at least one of: the national skills system, the health, human services, sport & recreation, or early childhood education, aged care, and disability sectors.
